Dawn Johnson is a Contemporary artist/ maker creating colourful, tactile handmade individual pieces for interior spaces.    

Based in Lewes , East Sussex, I have a passion about the colours patterns and textures in the world around me and as a response to that, I handcraft one of a kind wool rugs and wall hangings as unique works of art using a hand-tufting process. Sculpting the fibres to create a sumptuous undulating tactile surface in vivid colours    

A beautiful rug or loving crafted piece of visual art can and should be a key feature in every space providing warmth, conversation and aesthetic value. I aim to address the growing demand for innovative handmade unique pieces through my experimental fibre and visual art where beauty and function become friends.
